This nostalgic tale of unexpected romance in a small town is delightful. You especially SET THE SCENE well with your description of the carnival-like atmosphere that enchanting summer eve. Then we meet HER and quickly understand why the Speaker was smitten. I think I would begin, not end, my tale with your last two paragraphs. Rod

I like how you invite the reader to think of the songs they remember that reminds them of special moments with the special people in their lives. Blue Velvet was wonderful to dance to. This is a nice story. Liz O’Neill
